Hi everyone, I am one of the founding administrator of Philippine Military Modernization Today and AFP Modernization Today, administrator LZ1, I am happy where our page and group is heading right now as you could see we do now have our very own blog site and YouTube channel(s), and our page likes are averaging 3,000 per week, 150,000 post reach (max), along with hundreds of post likes, comments, and shares, expect those numbers to increase even further in the following days to come.

Our small defense page is growing fast with a matching turbo every week, which is just a good thing, because our goal is to reach every single Filipino out there and educate them about the importance of the AFP, and of the AFP modernization program for the establishment of a minimum credible defense for our national defense against: terrorism, invasion, insurgency, and other foreign, and local threats.

The AFP modernization program:

RA 7898 - AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE MODERNIZATION OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

“Section 2 Declaration of Policy — It is hereby declared the policy of the State to modernize the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to a level where it can effectively and fully perform its constitutional mandate to uphold the sovereignty and preserve the patrimony of the Republic of the Philippines.

Toward this end, the principal thrusts of the modernization program under this Act shall be:

(a) The development of a self-reliant and credible strategic armed force along the concept of a "Citizens Armed Force"; the reconfiguration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines structure; and the professionalization of the AFP;

(b) The undertaking of reforms in the recruitment, training, employment and management of

AFP personnel;

(c) The development, validation or modification of AFP doctrines;

(d) The acquisition and upgrading of appropriate technology and equipment; and

(e) The relocation, improvement, and construction of bases and other facilities.”

RA 10349 - AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO 7898, ESTABLISHING THE REVISED AFP MODERNIZATION PROGRAM AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES  

Enacted at year 2012 by the Aquino administration to jump start the 15 year AFP modernization program that has three phases (phase I, II, and II), starting 2012 count five or six years and that would be phase II of the AFP modernization program which means preparation for external defense (Surface to Air Missiles, jet fighters (MRF), submarines, Long Range Patrol Aircraft (LRPA), Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA, frigates, OPV, etc, etc) while phase I is for internal defense (close air support (CAS) aircraft, attack helicopter, logistical support aircraft, helicopters, etc, etc) supposedly.

Our group and page was created at year 2014, it is a very young group and page, but surprisingly as I have said we are growing fast with a matching turbo at 6^th gear every week. We assure you quality, credibility, and commitment as much as we are committed to our passion and interests. We are public servants, observers, watchmen, and field reporters of our country and of the AFP modernization program.

   

We are not just any page, we have the initiative to reach the government (e.g. DND, AFP, DILG, DOST, etc) or any lawmaker/congressmen, (if we have to, if there is a reason, and if it is really necessary) for matters and concerns that needs immediate action, correction, and or support.
